Wolverhampton Wanderers were one of the founding members of the Football League in 1888. Wolves spent 33 years in the top flight of football between 1932 to 1965. As with other League clubs at the time, their jerseys only sported badges on special occasions and during this period they used this badge of the Wolverhampton coat-of-arms. In the 1950s, they were three times League Champions under Stan Cullis.
